
Julie Ellen "Tawny," Kitaen was an American actress and model. She lived between May 7th, 2021 to August 5, 1961. Her television acting career began with Malibu (1983), and California Girls (1985). She also appeared as Gwendoline, a comedian in the Land of the Yik-Yak (both 1984) as well as Bachelor Party (1985). Kitaen gained widespread recognition due to her role in numerous rock music videos, including Ratt's (1984) "Back for More" Whitesnake's ("Still of the Night") and Whitesnake's ("Is This Love") (all 1987). In the early 2000s, Kitaen started appearing in reality television series, such as Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) that highlighted Kitaen's struggle with addiction. Julie Kitaen was the youngest of three children. She was born in San Diego in 1961 to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor) an actress, a former beauty pageant contestant, and Terry Kitaen who worked for a neon sign business. Kitaen was the daughter of a Russian-Jewish father and a Scottish mother. Kitaen was born Jewish. [4][5] She began using the name "Tawny" when she was 12 on her own initiative. [6] She was dyslexic in her childhood. This caused her to leave Mission Bay High School. 7 years ago, when she was 14, she had backstage access to a Peter Frampton concert at Balboa Stadium.[8She was a witness to Penny Frampton receiving special treatment and was inspired to emulate her.
