Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28 the 28th of October, 1967. Her family is the fourth Roberts family that resided in Atlanta. The story began with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was farmer. Her father took the first interest to stage. In 1952, while a student of Emory University, he performed on stage in a number of shows in Atlanta. In 1953, he joined the Air Force, and was stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a production together with Betty Lou Bredemus. The couple got married in 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. The couple divorced in 1957. the air force and Walter enrolled in Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter was a part of the Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio after the family relocated from Atlanta to Decatur, Georgia in 1960. The year 1964 was when Walter along with Betty Lou began production on a local children's Saturday morning television program named Bum Bum and His Buddies that they funded their own. They founded an Actors and Writers Workshop in the same year, which ran for 6 years. They had two more youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
