Biles was raised in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area following the time she and her younger sister Adria received adoption by grandparents Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone's love for gymnastics first began at the age of six after a visit with her day care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained in the hands of Aimee Borman's guidance from 2011. Biles won a gold in floor exercise and a bronze in vault at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010 before breaking into the elite competition in the year 2011. In just two short years, she was the best in her sport. Biles stood out for her consistent, having an exuberant and energetic personality and incorporating an extreme amount of difficulty in all of her competitions vaulting uneven floor workouts.
